Today we held our final gathering business and shoot meeting to talk about 2024 and look back on 2023 for TRBPS. 17 of our 35 members were able to brave the chilly cool breeze today and enjoy our time with friends and fellowship at a simple event called the Burnt Mountain Rondy as we prepare for the Christmas Holiday and New Year with family.

Thank you all as members of TRBPS for your support, participation in the shoots, creating the best atmosphere for shooting, friendly and the list goes on from your fellow members. With your assistance in so many ways this has been another extremely successful year that we can again build on to make us a better, stronger, more welcoming group in 2024 if that is possible.

There are so many things we can do to make this that much more for all, but by doing things in a manner that is building on each month’s successes learning from our small failures we become that much more stable, viable and reliable as a long term organization. We never want to be an organization that is here today and gone tomorrow for some unforeseen cause. So we build each month on our strengths, eliminate our weaknesses and improve our facilities for all our shooters and members to utilize.

Through all your help we keep our eyes on the NMLRA, PCSC, other BP clubs, NRA and the community for opportunities to garner support, grow our shooter and member base, advertise our program and give back as a partner to all. We will never be a burden to anyone but we will be a contributor and supporter to all.

Attached for some light reading pleasure, is a summary newsletter that documents and highlights some of your work this year outside of the shoots. The monthly shoots and events, by the way, are the best documented in the muzzleloading community at www.trbps.com by far anywhere. Anywhere! Enjoy them over the Christmas and New Year holiday break and be ready for 2024 as we plan on being that much better for all.

Please let us know what you like, do not like, what you would like to see at the shoots and any opportunity that supports our goal of being the club that has the best fellowship and friendship shoots.

Muzzle of the month

Happy holidays to all and your families. Be healthy and safe with a happy new year ahead of us that will be bigger and better. See you 4th weekend in January for our Jones Mountain Rondy where we welcome all to shoot and see what we are about. Keep your eyes on your emails for further details. Till we meet again next year.

  1. Thanks for another great video of the get together. I can almost smell the pleasant aroma of BP. Nice turnout for a Dec. day and a nice variety of smoke poles. Hope I get a chance to see the Hacker Martin rifle. A true icon of our sport.

Glad to see John recognized for
    the fantastic job he does.
