Event: Monthly Meet – Gathering of Friends, Family & Members

To all, for our next match in November, we have moved the shoot date up a week. Rather than the Saturday after Thanksgiving we are going with the Saturday before Thanksgiving and we will be doing a lunch gathering to celebrate our last match of the year. November 20th. We all feel the holidays are for family and especially thanksgiving so please enjoy the time of the holidays.
We will be shooting three relays, 2 with 10 shots each, patch and roundball, any caliber in these two shooting classifications supported and unsupported and a team fun match. The classifications will not compete against each other for prizes, just bragging rights.
First Relay:
10 shots at 50 yards, small bowling pins, simple hit or miss for points. Plus steel target plates. So 5 shots at each type of target at 50 yards. We got lots of steel and lots of different size bowling pins that we have not even shot yet.
Second Relay:
Two targets, small running deer and single bullseye. 5 shots each at 25 yards, small target for points. They are tough little bugger of targets so be ready to aim small miss small. DO NOT SHOOT EACH OTHER’S TARGET PLEASE! Makes it tough on the scorer and he does not need the headache it gives him!
Third Relay – Teams:
Our final match will be the optional team match based on time finished. We do not want to interfere with lunch time as we all need time to clean up a bit and get cooking. All shooters will draw a number from a hat to create a team. Evens will be one team, the odd numbers the other team. This will involve the teams shooting against each other at the same time to break charcoal briquettes or flour balls at 20-25 or so yards. First team to break all their targets wins. All shots for this match will be shot off hand. The goal is to have each shooter only shoot one or two times each. Example, if there are 6 team members for each team, there will be 7 targets minimum for each team to break so there is a reload for at least one team member if everyone hits their target. The match will start with all rifles loaded, but not primed or capped for safety reasons of course. No volley fire for safety reasons.
